Need engine help in DFW

My blazer has been sitting for the better part of 4 years. about a year ago i dropped in a used motor and i dont have the knowledge of tuning and what possibilities of what needs to be altered on this thing.

Is anyone willing to come out either one night during the week or even the weekend and help me figure this thing out. It runs, just not to its prime. I can offer or $$$. Just someone please get me past this hurdle thats been holding me back for years.

Blazer is located in Murphy, Tx. typical carbed 350 motor

Have you done general tune-up items (plugs, wires, air & fuel filters, etc.)? What type of carb?

everything but the block, internals, heads, and intake are new. Its an edelbroc 1405 i believe. Cant find a vaccum leak, timing chain lines up perfect, It cranks and starts right up, but its high and rough. i dont know what else to do.

Have you put a vacuum gauge or a timing light on it?

Hey TX85 your right around the corner from him, maybe you can help him out? I will be headed to Paris next weekend, I could maybe stop by on the way home (Sunday) if the job goes smooth and give it a look. I will bring my vacuum guage and timing light if I can. PMed

I'm no mechanic, but I should be able to come by and take a look at it. I've got a vacuum gauge and a timing light.

Do you have a tuning guide for that carb?

Just remember STOCK motor. Leave the big jets at home. I may have a tuning kit if he needs one.
