need a transmission opinion

okay, ive got a 91 s10 4x4, nv3500 5spd

i also have a 82 3/4ton 4x4 with a sm465 granny tranny and np208

ive decided to swap the s10 body on the fullsize frame but i cant start the project till i figure out my transmission dilema...

if i keep the granny tranny in it, i will have to modify the s10 clutch pedel and fab a mechanical clutch linkage, and with my 4:11's im turnin over 3K doin 55mph

if i swap the nv3500 in i will have to replace the clutch, flywheel, and reconfigure the hydrolic clutch system, not to mention the tcase on the 3500 is a diff spline than the 208, so i would have to divorce it

the granny tranny is great for wheelin, and virtually industructable, on the other hand ill b driving it more than i will wheeling it, and the 3500 would b better on gas having the extra gear

ive been told to get a 2wd nv4500 and divorce the tcase and do it that way...

wat do yall think?
or do yall know a CHEAP tranny/tcase combo that fits my needs?

Why are you turning 3k rpm at 55 with only 4.11s?

I would just do an axle swap on the s10 and leave the fullsize alone. Especially if you arent going to wheel it hard.

I wouldn't worry about the clutch linkage, novak sells a kit for the 465 (what I have on mine).

If you are going to swap the body anyways, go ahead and keep the transmission and tc that is already in the truck. This will save you a good bit of fab work, and you can't beat the 465 (unless you need an Overdrive).

wat i may do, cuz im kinda on a time limit with the build(i wanna have it done for the canadian river in feb) is keep the 465 fer now, then wen i finish the project and get everything how i like it, then ill swap a nv4500 in, and a guy in amarillo said he'd clock my tcase to the 4500 then ill have the low gear fer wheelin, and overdrive to take it to and frm work
