NEW T-Case...

I am having one of those 'I should know this' moments... I want to know for sure if a T-Case with the right input spline count will bolt up behind my transmission? I know that I have swapped a Dodge case behind chevy transmission before, and put a ford case behind my old dodge... so I am leaning on YES it should, but I cannot say for sure 100%.. My transmission has the standard 6-bolt round pattern with a 23spline output mated to a 231D, so will a Jeep 231J with a 23spline input and the 6 bolt pattern bolt in?? Main reason is I called all the junkyards and none of them have a dodge case for me to pick up.. and since I decided to go with a front suspsension re-design and coil overs..... a STAK or ATLAS is out of the question!!! I would rather wheel the pi$$ outta another Junkyard case with a better/lower suspension setup than a ultra low range crawl gear right now!!

I have a 46RE in there right now... been running thru the internet trying to find any 231 or 241 that has the right spline count. Leaning toward the 231J because of the SYE kits.. I think it should hold up to my tired old 5.9l V-8!

If Im not mistaken it depends on the year of jeep. The spines were cut differently starting in 95 i think. Im sure someone on here can verify that.

Yeah I have seen that, some of them say "long" spline, havent really seen that on any of the newer cases though. I think I am just gonna go with the trial and error concept when I get home.. the junkyard by my house will refund my $$ if it dont fit!

What would cause a np241 to make a loud popping sound. It doesn't matter if it is in 2wd or 4wd or what speed or gear
