no low 205

Hey guys just installed a chevy 205 in my truck willl not go in to low, when you put it in you have to hold it or it will pop out. I been in many transfercases but not a 205 not sure what i'm getting in to. Only reason i ask if someones had this problem befor thanks for all your help

Sounds like you need to adjust your shifter.

On my 205 there wasnt any sort of adjustment. The shifter is connected to a rod thats connected to the shift rails. I dont know about the 32spline 205s tho. Mine is a 10 spline.

behind 350 trans no adjustment i can see only way it really shifts is while moving a bit but won't go in to low pulled it today going to open it up think may be rust on shift rails or bad fork

make sure the shifters not hitting the body anywhere, make sure the shift collars inside the case arent worn out, and make sure the springs holding the detent balls on the shift rails are in good shape.
