NP 205 Questions for doubler

Okay, so i got a few questions so if they have been covered before please show me the way.

1.) Can i use a 32 spline 205 with a figure 8 pattern?

2.) I have a set of twinsticks for a figure 8 pattern 205. Any reason they wouldnt work on a round pattern 205?

3.) How hard is it to convert from a slip yoke to a fixed yoke?

4) How expensive is it to convert a 10 spline to 32 spline? (i.e. Cost of machining?, new input?)

Thats it for now but im sure i will think of something. Thanks in advance.

When I did mine from a 23 spline to the 32 spline it was 70.00 from my local machine shop.

Should work. Pattern has nothing to do with the shifting.

Just find the parts, you'll have it torn open anyway.

Dot, did you have to get your figure 8 machines to the round pattern for your doubler? What kit did you go with or did you piece it together yourself?

The doubler adapter has the fig 8 pattern in it. Just bolt it up. I got it from Waggoner Machine just before they went out of business, $500 for the kit. I specified having the 205 rotated so it was level (no lower) than the 203. Worked out fine.

Pretty good. I wouldn't rotate the 205 up any more unless you want front driveshaft problems. I don't have much lift either. Rotated the front pinion up 10 degrees to help. Actually, the rear ujoint hits some at full droop. I have 1410 single joints on the xfer case.

Is the any difference between an sm465/205 adapter for a 10 spline 205 and one for a 32 spline 205? Did they ever make a 32 spline sm465/205 combo that used a figure 8 pattern case?

yes adapters are different, no 32 spline figure 8 465 adapter

Not what I wanted to hear. That would have been too cool if the adpter I already had would have worked but nothing ever works out for me that way....
