NP241 gear reduction

I looked thru the first couple pages to make sure no one had already hit the topic, didnt find nothing so here is my question....

I have a stock 241D in my 98 ram 1500- I cant find anything for me to get more than a stock 2.72:1 low out of it.. and I cant find any adapters to fit a different case behind the 46RE or a doubler behind the 241D either!! Anyone know where I can look for either of these options? I plan on a complete drivetrain swap somewhere down the road, going with a 440-727-203/205or Atlas, but until my money tree starts growing fruit, I am kind stuck with what i have so I would like to get anythign I can out of whats there. Thanks in advance!!

Nwf blackbox will sit between the tyranny and tcase and will give you a 7.3984 double low or a 2.72 single low and 1to1 in high. And if I remember I think they are on sale till end of year.

I did this and with 700r4 and 456 gears its 39 to 1 or 103 to 1. Way cool. But it's not cheap like your looking for.

I just looked thru thier website, and they only advertise to fit these cases- Bronco Dana 20- Jeep Dana 300- Atlas II- StaK line, but they do make them to bolt to my 46Re, so that maybe something for me to think over down the road when my finances allow!! I wish I could remember what the mounting face of my T-case looked like... I havent dropped it in a couple of years, and have worked on way to many others since to remember which was mine!!

I have a 44.78:1 low with what I have right now, and the Blackbox alone would give me a 121.81:1 in low/low.. I will have to wait until i get home in Feb to look over my stuff, and see if I can make it work...
If I will be able to re-use it then I am willing to spend the $$.... just need to find the $$ first!!

Well I just got off the phone with NWF, and it looks like I will be going this route when I get the $$$ again.... As long as when I upgrade to a StaK or Atlas, I get the same input spline count and it will bolt right in!!! So when my Exo-cage, driveshafts, fuel system, and pinion brakes are finished being upgraded, I will start saving for a blackbox!! Thanks for the help guys, I was pretty much dead in the water with this one!

Don't forget though. With auto's you get another 2 to 1 from the torque converter.

Numarically the number will be lower 44.78 but it will double from the converter so. 44.78 x 2.0= 89.56. It looks like this. 2.45 x 2.0 x 2.72 x 6.72.

I have a 700/205/Rocks. and I'm around 80.60.

It's the manuals that have the lower first gear so that makes the final drive numbers bigger. Don't let that fool you like it did me. There is a doubler SM465 that I hang out with and a doubler Turbo 400 and they both have just stupid crawl speeds to them. One will follow the other and visa versa. But the slip of the converter kinda keeps things from breaking in a bind.... unless you use the skinny pedal !!!
