pontiac 350 pistons

can you take pistons and a roller camshaft from a pontiac oilburner and put them in a truck motor?

That old old GM diesel was indeed a 350, but not a small block Chevy 350. It's possible the pistons are the same, then again, wrist pins might be larger on the diesel motor to handle the higher compression.

I wouldn't bet on it working. They aren't the same block.

I think he was referring to the connecting rods.

In that case, no. They use a different bore size. And it was Oldsmobile, not Pontiac who made them. bigok
