Question Questions/Help with 4L80E borg warner 4401

Hi, I have a 86 K5 Blazer, it has the typical 350/700R4/NP208 set up.
I put 3/4 ton front and 1 ton 14bolt FF rear with disk brakes and 6 inch lift with H1 rims and tires.
Nothing special, the normal kind of thing.

I bought a vortec 454 with 4L80E trans and it has a borg warner 4401 t-case. All out of a 96 1 ton.
I didn't know the t-case was a driver side drop, so the question/help are:
-Can I flip the t-case so it is a passenger side drop?
-I saw the NP241 32 spline will mate up to the trans, on e-bay I see a lot of them however they are all driver side drop - is there a passenger side drop NP241 with 32 splines?
- are there any other options anyone can give me? Nothing crazy or expensive, just want to figure it all out.

Thanks!

Sure, I have the same exact set up you do, 2000 4L80 with the 4401 t case. What I'm thinking about doing is using the factory 4401 tcase adapter getting a round pattern 205 from a 400 and its 32 spline allready. It will also have the 6 bolt round pattern that the 4401 uses, little expensive but not to hard to find if you look around. I looked into flipping my 4401 over and there is oiling issues that are not good.

Only other option is get a Dana 60 or 44 from a ford.

Not sure on the 241 But I bet there are some that were on 400's also you can get 208s that were on 400's, Just make sure you keep you eye on the shaft length's ... They are a pain.

1990-1991 k20 suburbans will have the transfer case you need. they need to come from a 1990 th400, or an sm465, or the 1991 4l80 and the sm465. also pretty rare is that year k5 with the sm465 trans.

those are 32 spline pass drop electric speedometer np241.

relatively easy to find in 27 spline and all it is then is an input gear swap.

Excellent, thank you guys!
I have 2 NP205 and a NP203 however, they are not the TH400 though...
NP203 w/ TH350 and the NP205 W/SM465 so I guess they won't work.
I was looking at the ORD site and it says they sell a 32 spline input shaft kit for 200 bucks and all I have to do is get the bearing hole machined a little bigger.

I have been searching to see if they make a 10 spline to 32 spline adapter however have not found one. Do you know of anyone that sells it?

Also, so I would just get a NP241 passenger drop t-case and stick a 32 spline input shaft in it? If that is the case, I will go see if I can find the cost of a 32 spline input shaft for the NP241.

I looked for the Ford D60s and they are more expensive than the Chevy and Dodge D60s.
If I got a Ford front axle, wouldn't I have to change the hub so it would have a 8x6.5 bolt pattern? would the Chevy or Dodge hubs fit onto a Ford D60? I was looking at the bearing numbers and they were different so that is why I thought it wouldn't fit.

If I were you I'd use the 205, and get the 32 input for it. It's a tank and strong as all get out ! Also while you have it out, twin stick the 205, that way you can run around in front wheel drive or rear or do front digs or ?? LOL. I would look on evilbay first before going with ORD, they are high and I know I seen a 32 on there for under 150 and thats with the bearing.

Try here as well.
