RCI Fuel Cell QUESTION?

I am looking to purchase the 12 gallon Aluminum Powder Coat RCI Fuel Cell. This fuel cell has the breather, return, and out fittings on the top. My questions comes at this point... I am going to mount it inside my Aluminum toolbox and run the out line down through the bottom of the toolbox and bed of the truck and then under the cab to the carb. I am going to run my electric fuel pump right after I drop out of the bed or either inside the toolbox. Which would be better? What do I do with the return, does it have to be hooked up? Do I have to vent the tank out of the toolbox or what do I need to vent it? Any advice helps. THANKS in advance!

I would say mount the pump inside the tool box ( i always heard the closer to the tank the better) I would run the vent outside the box, no sense have the vapors trapped inside just in case. as far as the return I dont think you need it with a carb but I could be wrong on that one. Hell I could be wrong on all three though.

A lot will depend on the fuel pump and motor your running to.The Scout has a TBI motor so it has to have a return line. The first fuel pump I used was the Ford pump and it wouldn`t pull the fuel all the way to the top. What I did was buy a bulkhead fitting and ran the supply out the bottom of the tank, instant gravity feed.

I am running an Airtex electronic fuel pump similar to the E8012S pump. I have a carburated Chevy 350. My tank doesn't have a return line on it right now with the same pump but I want to get rid of the rusty tank. Is there anything wrong with venting int he toolbox? there's not much I can do with it without makig it stick out like a sore thumb unless someone else has a better idea? Keep them coming, thanks.
