school me on toy transfer cases

i am wanting to double up the transfer case in the 94. i am thinking of either robbing the one out of the little buggy or messer's toy for now. they are both doubled already.
the 94 has the 4.7 in it so i want to use it for the rear case and a stock 2.28 range box in front. i really don't know squat about this toyota stuff and it looks like i may be sticking with it so i need to learn.
i have a 23 spline 4.7 gear set to put in the little buggy since it runs a v6/auto combo. so if i use that one, i would need to order a 23 spline doubler kit to make it work when i put it back in?
also, the 94 has a budbuilt transfer case crossmember? will that one for a single case work or will i also need to get the dual case crossmember?

Don't rob from the others just buy a stock top shift case and order up a 21 spline adapter from your vendor of choice. Then you will have 4.7's and 2.28's(dual ultimate).

Sounds like a big headache. I'd just donate the truggy to me. That's a good question though, since I'm new to the Yota scene also.

This is what I have, along with 4.7s in the rear case. Worked awesome this weekend.

I'm glad I'm not in your position, WAY too many rigs to choose from LoL. Dont rob though, like others have said. Find ya another case and order the doubler (51jeepwillys has a couple of cases in the for sale area(he may have tires too since its been a couple weeks)

part of the reason i thought about robbing was because i bought a set of 23 spline 4.7 gears for the little buggy. and if i understand right, i would have to get a 23 spline adapter plate. so if i took the 21 spline adapter out of the buggy for the 94. then i would only have to get one adapter (23 spline) instead of a 21 now and 23 later.
make sense??

Yes that makes sense. You would only have to buy an 23 spline adapter for the buggy to have both rigs done. Trail-gear is cheaper and is what I run. Haven't broke anything yet.

I've been using the TG 21 spline dual cases for about 4 years are so no problem. And Daily Drove it as well as to the trails and back with no Problems from 33" tires toy axles to 38.5" tires with one tons.
You will need a 23 adapter for the 23 spline 4.7 case.

Sound like a great plan ... I'd run either also ... But marlin has a clockable one to make the truggy a flat belly

Why? A doubler with one set of stock gears and one set of 4.7 is lower than three with stock gears. And your drivetrain would be stupid long.

Not to mention, it's not a new idea, it's been done.

Doesn't Marlin's rig have 3 cases? I think with the tranny he is using he has a crawl ratio of 1000:1, IIRC. Crazy stupid low!!!

To answer one of your questions Jeff, you will need another t-case crossmember for the duals. As for dual adapters get whatever you want......they are all good. Marlin does have that clockable one so that one is interesting. Also just buy a t-case and throw it in there.......they are a dime a dozen! My two cents. Glad to see you like the Toy drivetrain and will keep it that way. YOu will be glad you did!!!

I agree, Never had any problems with Toyota stuff. I think, I smoked a clutch using a single T-case and busted a stock birf. I tend to think, I'm light on the gas out on the trail.
I say leave the 94 alone and build up the other one so that both rigs are not down at the same time.

how about 2.28x4.7x4.7=50.37

you can barely see the 4 shifters, 1 transmission and 3 transfer cases!
