I bought a chrome tranny pan for my th400, and have had no luck with the 3 attempts to stop it from leaking. Any special tricks? Thanks

Would RTV sealant stuff work? Or some other kind of gasket maker?

Make sure the lip is straight all the way around, use a rubber gasket (my opinion) and at minimum scuff the chrome on the sealing surface. If all else fails, use only a minimal amount (very thin skim coat) of rtv.
