Water repelant!!!!!!!!!

Hey just wanted to ask for some tips on how to best waterproof a 73 Blazer with 350 eng and 350 tranning. Looking to do my best in maybe reducing the loss of power once inside water with maybe seeling by distributor and sparkplugs just don't know how if with grease or silicone (proceedure). We already had our trans and transf case filled with peptobismol looking oil and flushed the heck out of it. Any advice would be grately appreciated. Thanx and happy wheeling!!!!
