What is it?



Is this a spot for a ported vacuum switch? If so where can I get a plug or what is the thread? I have made a few trips to the part store and can figure out the thread pitch.

This is on my carbed vortec GMPP manifold.

Any idea what the thread is? I tried 3/4in pipe but that was too big. Do you know if it was a pipe thread?

It's bigger than a temp sending unit thread.

This isn't my exact manifold but pretty damn close. It is the angled port facing the drivers side. I'd take one of mine but I have already left my truck.

that goes to your exhaust manifold/header, atleast it does on my truck. must be part of the egr. make sure it's not tied into the water jacket for the intake, it's alot closer to the thermostat housing on yours then it is on mine

I think your right. I'm pretty sure it's not connected to the coolant system because I already blocked off 3 of those ports, one with a sending unit and two with a plug.

Well it's not 1/2in pipe thread. Anyone know the metric equivalent to 1/2 in. It's between 1/2 and 3/4.

Finally got this figured out. This is the EGR tube for 96-2000 vortec motors.

For future reference Summit sells a plug or you can get a 10AN fitting plug that has the same thread. It has a 7/8-15 thread pitch.
