that's a tuffy...mud and rock crawling will require two different stalls. Mud=higher since you'd need to let the TC stall at a higher speed...crawling=lower is better...but then you have a pretty stock 350...but then you have rockwells to make up for gearing. lol I'll have a 2300 stall in my 700r4 with 44s, 5.86s in the diffs, & a mild SBC...I wish I could have gone to a 1500-1800 stall in my rig but the just not in the mood to spend more money...just slap on a bigger cooler/fan to keep it from overheating

With a pretty stock 350 and rocks, I would run 1800-2300.
My k5 will have 2500 but will be pushing 500hp. My 600hp s10 has a 5500 the guy before me put in and it will be coming out to have a 3000-3500 installed. Both are running th400/205's

Buy a stock one. With a warrnity. So if you smoke it its just a swop out. No need for a high stall unless you doing drags.

So all of the pro rockracers are wrong? being able stop your rig when in low gear is not needed? having a better low speed crawl ratio is bad? not having to back up 10 feet to bump a ledge is nice too...

click the link I put up,it's about the best deal your going to get.I would avoid used ones unless you are willing to send it out to have it cut open and have cleaned out,you don't want someone elses metal shavings floting around in you tranny...
