Air Bags, General Questions

I'm thinking about putting some on the back of the '04 Dodge, 2WD dually. The back seems to be sagging a little with a load and also, I hear the ride improves. There are some 4 link kits that don't even use the rear leaf springs, so does that mean they are that reliable?

Anybody running them? Opinions, comparisons to factory leaves?

It looks like you can get the bag kits for $400 or less, the auto leveling systems are pretty pricey but I suspect it is a real nice setup.

Running the firestone bags in the rear of my super duty, awesome! Love them, easy install,
With the fifth wheel on, nice & level, well worth the money, I have the manual fill system...
Over the leaf mounted, if I leave them inflated, she rides harsh, but its not too bad!

I'm looking into buying some for my 03' drw 3500. With my camper and yota on the back, I only have about 1-2" off the rear bumpstops. It also rides terrible......

I ran a set of bags on 3 of our daullies at work. All gooseneck trucks. They really ride well and had zero problems with leaks or mechanical issues. They were manual fill as well.

Loved em. They were Firestone. They made all the difference when hauling 15k plus

Thanks for the feedback. I feel more confident. Anxious to look into the kits now.

When I get a different daily driver then I'm gonna convert mine to a qcsb dually, rear 4 link and bag it. The kits to link and bag are pretty reasonable in price.

The peterbuilt I drive everyday rides on airbags. 180,000 miles and millions of pounds and it still works flawless.
