Thanks for the info. If you had the opportunity to move away or stay, what would you do? What kind of wheelin'?

The wheelin is good. The river is only about 12 miles north of town. It can be as easy or hard as you want.

I like it here but it wasn't always like that. Growing up I hated it, seems like there was not enough to do. Now that I'm older I can see that it wasn't so bad. It's a good place to start a family. Cost of living is low, gangs...what gangs. Bars kinda suck. Not too big not too small.

Wheel'n is AWESOME! The canadian river gets played down more than it should. You got atv and dirt bike trails, sand, mud and rocks.

I would have to agree with Awesome Bill. I actually left when I was 21 and lived in East Texas for about 6 years. I couldn't wait to come back home!

Abilene is a good family place to live in. Cost of living is pretty low, homes are reasonable, crime is low as well. I'm a home-body, so how great (or not) any of the clubs are, I couldn't really say. As far as wheelin goes, there isn't anything local at all. San Angelo is 1.5 hrs away, K-rocks (while it lasts) is 2 hrs, EDRA is about 3 hrs. I like living here, but I do wish there was some places to use 4 LO.
