Autozone - San Antonio - Wurzback and I-10

My daughter had a headlight go out on her car this evening....she got all panicky and stopped at the autozone on Wurzbach by I-10. We got word she was there and drove over thinking I would have to change out the headlight bulb for her. When we got there one of the guys in the store had come out with his tools and already had the headlight assy. pulled from the car and was replacing the bulb. I was surprised...actually very surprised. the headlight bulbs in a late model Pontiac Grand Prix are not a 5 minute replacement job. you have to damn near disassemble the front end to get at it, and he just went and helped her out.. ( Course it don't hurt that she is really cute..)

anywho.. just wanted to give props to the guys at that store..I'll for sure spend money there when I need something.

its manditory to replace bulbs, wipers & batteries at auto zone. unless if under staff & too busy.

we did have a special code tho. its 454 or code 454 (thats when a pretty
girl walks in & everybody goes to the front counter)

i wounder if they still use this code today

thats when i use to work for autozone many years ago.

Azone or Autozone

Glad that worked out.
Here on bandera/culebra Azone they are not as nice. You better have the correct phone # the first time or you get nothing for "life time" warrenty.
The one on culebra by McDonald's just passing St.Mary's University are very helpful. They even gave me my Money back on a battery I had to buy at Bandera/culebra...because I didn't remember my old Phone # for a warrenty replacement. That was cool of them to do that for me.

They're nice up here at the Mansfied store, but very dumb. Only two or three of the know anything about a vehicle. So to mess with them, when they ask what year, I tell them it doesn't matter, supprise me. Talk about confused. LOL!

And that part changed when?!?

Autozone is truly one of those places where the crew makes all the difference in the world. I just wish the corporate folks could understand how important their people are, and take a little better care of the ones that know/give a darn about cars. Seems like the only people that stick around at the Lubbock stores are the re-re's that don't know jack.

I swore 'em off at one store here, but had to go in for a warranty part. Was pleasantly surprised at the "new" crew, even though they don't have a lot of knowledge, are willing to help and still remain pleasant about it. Been back quite a few times since then. There is of course the token "cocky-know-it-all" that is fun to make an @$$ out of. He gets this great constipated look when you stump him. He looked for over 30 minutes one night in the radio/electronics/accessories dept. when I told him I needed the TV cable for my tranny--I could've helped, but it was too much fun watching his co-workers laugh at him.

back in 95 or 96 two people who worked for autozone got caught still the safe from valley high store.

i prefer go to advanced auto parts store, then auto zone.
where i live next to the one on babcock road & i rather drive one block past
to go to advance.

bigjimmysrock, what autozone do you work at? who is your dm.
my dm was richard dominguez, luna brothers & jody.

I tried one time to get a job there, no matter how much i talked to them or zach taked to them it took forever for them to get back and by then i usually had something else brewing.

They don't care if you know much about cars or not, they just hire who ever is on the top of the stack when they get seriously shorthanded.
