auxiliary fuel tank?

didnt know where else to put this question so i stuck it in here.

im getting a new truck this coming up weekend and plan on putting a auxilary fuel tank in it, but would like to put a bed cover on the truck as well. Does anybody see a problem with doing this with the aux tank in the bed of the truck? the only thing i can see is the fumes but the tank should be contained enough that the only fumes coming out would be when you open the gas cap.

Anybody?

is it diesel or gas ? gas puts off hella vapor but on the gas cap you can drill a hole and weld in a nipple . take a small hose from the nipple to out side the truck somwhere . you wont have a problem with diesel . besides a cover might help keep the diesel cooler

like bigevil said.
use a non-vented cap and run a vent tube to the outside of the bed, most of the aftermarket bed tanks give you this option.

it will be a diesel. that was my thoughts exactly about keeping the diesel cooler. after i posted this i read a couple threads on cumminsforum.com that a bunch of guys are doing it without any problems. and there reasoning behind it also is to not let anybody know they have a aux. tank in the bed.

i cant find it now, but when i was thinking about putting one on the flatbed. there was a kit the would automaticaly fill the stock tank up when i would get to a 1/4 tank left but now cant seem to find it.
