Big Scare!!!

I have been out at the local ELKS lodge all day BBQing rib's for one of there charity drives, and at about 6:30 I get a phone call " Hey man your ranch is on FIRE!" Now picture this in front of about 40 people. WHAT!!! As I'm covered in bbq grease cutting up a slab of ribs for someone. I slam the knife into the table point first and crap fly's everywhere. Well by now every one is looking at me and I yell " What the hell do you mean the ranch is on fire."
Well needless to say I drop what I'm doing get in my truck and haul ***. It's normally an hour and 15 to 20 min. drive made it in about 45min.
I get out there and the parents call and tell me the Ozona vol. fire dept. put it out an hour or so ago. Thanks a million guys. there not even in our county but they took care of it any way, because Val Verde V.F.D won't do squat!
Now to the good part as most country folks know it's pretty easy to tell were a brush fire starts by looking at the burn pattern. So I traced it back to the front gate right under and in front of my orv park sign. Some F'ing SOB tried to burn my sign down!!! they lit the grass on fire hoping it would catch the wooden sign on fire. HaHa it didn't work you piece of **** because of the fresh dirt around the legs were I dug the post holes.
Try it again please... so I can catch you and deliver you into a whole new and exciting world of pain!!!!!!!
The good news is that it only burned about 7 to 8 acers thank God.

Sorry to hear that. Glad it didn't burn the whole thing down. That really sucks...Not even my place and I feel for you.
