A couple thing I built..

^this is a rack I built for a guy on another site. It is a bolt on accessory to a swing out tire carrier.it holds two gas cans and an ice chest.

^this is a "Baja" tire carrier for a pickup bed. It holds a cb antenna, a high lift jack, and a 37" tire. If the jack is not mounted it will hold around a 50" tire. The pics were taken before it was finished but I welded a receiver hitch on it so you can swap out different centers without having to cut the old center off if you decide to change the bolt pattern.

:golfclap: but I'm wondering how that tire rack holds a 50" tire...well a 50" tire would probably fit but would it actually work is my question. A 50" tire is no light weight even less mounted on a wheel.

I thought that too. I never tried it. I used 1/4" plate and mounted a 37" tire on it and jumped on it and it didn't wiggle so I just assumed it would hold a 50" tire. It could have been braced more if it didn't hold.
