They have .gov auctions at the impound yard every month in Hell Rio. Some really nice vehicles and equipment in the yard for penney's on the dollar. I just worry about the drug scum that got nabbed coming back with a gun to get his ride back. It is really a [email protected] shoot at those things.

Most times the little guy doesn't stand a chance with all the auto lot bidders that show up.

They had a a set of tires and a truck. I don't have a clue how high any of it will go but the starting bid of 150 is cheap. The base where it is is only an hour from my parents house

It is not hard. i have bought quite a few things from them. If you buy a vehicle you will need a EOU certificate. The End of Use certificate could take up to a couple of months to process on the first one. After that it is one file. Go to SteelSoldiers as suggested and go to GL and pull their rules. As long you follow them to a "T" you will not have problem.

i have dealt with them alot. you have to be very careful. they will screw you!!! worst deal ever, was my buddy kevin bought 3 10kw honda generators for $900. he drove to savannah GA to get them and they were junk. they pieced one together to make it look complete. all he wound up with was 3 frames, 1 rotten gas tank, 1 empty switch/outlet panel, 1 junk engine block, 0 generator units. they said he had the right to come see them before the auction. lol.

but, other than that most experiences have been pretty good.

The truck I was looking at is pretty trashed in the pics. If it was cheap enough I was going to buy for the dana 60 in the front. I have been watching a cucv blazer and it way more than what I would have spent on it. I am going to find a cheap trailer to get the paperwork out of the way.

You can search the site and see what they usually go for prior to bidding. IIRC those trucks go for about $1700 complete. A trashed one may be less, but don't let the starting bid fool you. If you don't bid close, you won't stand a chance. Good luck, and take notes so you can edjimucate us when its done.

A running drivetrain may get you a few bucks back, but not much demand for a rattle-trap 6.2. $1200 is actually pretty good considering the 4.56 gears (which means the correct carriers) and the rear detroit. And all of them are low mileage, just a LOT of idle time on them. They ain't gonna let you 'steal' one though.
