I am confused

Any one know about becoming a Texan?

On the DMV site I looked up getting a license. It said I needed to have ALL my vehicles registered and tagged in Texas. Not a problem. How do I get tags? Well I need to have a valid Texas Drivers license. I also need an address before I can do either, but I am living in a Hotel for the short term.

Anyone know the laws? Can I do all this in Stratford (A small town in the panhandle where two of my three vehicles are at now?

You can't be a Texan unless you were born in Texas.

I'm a relocated Texan.

As for your situation, you planning on getting a more permanent place soon?

To get your vehicles registered, you just need to head to the local county tax office with

inspection certification,
proof of liability insurance,
the vehicle's odometer reading if it is less than 10 years old,
an original out-of-state title, proof of registration, proof of sales tax payment or current foreign/military ownership document,
completed Form 130-U, and
the following fees:
registration fee,
title application fee of $28 or $33, depending on the county, and
new resident tax of $90.

You 'might' be able to use the address of the hotel in a pinch, but I would not do that unless there has been a DPS officer or local cop that has noticed and said something to you. How long do you plan on being in the hotel? Until you have a permanent residence, I would not worry about it too much.
