Road trip to Alabama and back, April 15-16, 2006. You drive a little, I buy the food and a place for us to sleep Saturday night. It's about 12 hours one-way from Dallas.

Who's game?

You think I have $9700? Not hardly.

I have a bank that likes me (for some strange reason) and RVs can have a much longer note than autos (strange).

Congrats Hatch, I like the fact that it has hard wood floors instead of carpet. Sweet deal.

Nice Fifth Wheel. That was a great buy. That fifth wheel sales for $18,000 - $22,000 new. Congrats.

Nice!!

BTW, I flat-towed my jeep behind our 28' fifthwheel camper, all the way to Moab and back. Zero problems. Over 70 or so it would start to float around a little, so we stayed around 65.

Either flat tow behind 5th wheel or on an 11' trailer behind the 5th wheel.

Or on Benji's trailer

A shortage of carpeted floor was a highly desired feature I looked for while shopping. Also an outside shower to wash some grime away after a really nasty day in the mud or dust before entering the camper.

I was really surprised there were no other bids. I almost paid $200 more for the "Buy it now" $9900 price a day ago (wanting to get it over with). As it was, I submitted my bid with only 20 seconds to spare

"HOME" is the operative word.

I found out this past week that the possibility of a job change/promotion/move to El Paso is on again.

I spent some time looking at a couple of RV dealers recently to get a feel for the floor plans and help me choose an RV on the internet (way better prices than around here from individuals or dealers). W/O a big slide, I saw many that I would classify as "very comfortable CAMPING" but "very cramped LIVING." "LIVING IN IT" will always be a possibility; had to go big.
