My uncles new Chevy is a bad mofo. Guess it depends on models. All the cool kids are running tundras and like them.

Not that it counts for much but my best friend is a huge GM fan and he said if he were to buy a half ton today he would buy a Ford with the Ecoboost v6.

Research on the new chevy engines, they have some crazy engine flushing you have to do. to get the carbin out of the motor.

If i went gas, Ecoboost my choice.

1/2 ton either Tundra or Ford Ecoboost, both have lots of power.

I know "Gas" engine was specified, but I would have to investigate the new diesel available in 2014 Dodge 1500 if I were looking at a new 1/2 ton.

Those freakin Tundras suck some gas though. My g/f's mother has one and several guys on the rig have them and they get about 13. Plus they are $$$ along with the Ecoboost. I traded my 2012 CC GMC 4x4 dually in about 4 months ago for a CC Tacoma. I have to say Im impressed with it! It gets about 19-20 and pulls my 23' skiboat just find. Also just went to Tulsa, Ok with an 18' car trailer and pulled back a 4runner on that. No problem. Yeah it got 12 mpg pulling but 70 mph was not an issue. Granted its not my Duramax but it does the job.

Ecoboost. Know a ton of people that have them. They have balls plus a ton of aftermarket to pump up the power even more. Plus mileage is better than Tundra. Toyota is a pretty good truck though. Nothing bad to say about them.

If I drive my tundra smart I get 16-17 mpg on the highway. If I drive just a little aggressive in town the average drops to 13. Towing the buggy I pull 12-13 mpg.
Towing the 18' trailer with jeep it drops to 10. Sometimes 9 mpg.
Traded in a 2005 Chevy I really enjoyed for the tundra, so far I don't regret the decision.

Go Tundra. I had 2010 Tundra CrewMax Sr5 4x4 and traded it in. Dumbest decision I ever made. So I picked this little guy up on Saturday. '14 CrewMax 4x4 Limited.

Went and drove a new GMC yesterday with a 5.3 and a new ecoboost f150 and the ecoboost made the GMC feel like weak junk! Almost like an import car.never thought I would like a ford over GM product
