maskale just gettin started

true story:

I was taking a test for a job once, the packet said something about "This Battery of Test......blah blah blah". Guy next to me raised his hand and asked where the "battery" was. I looked over at him like: "you're not going to get this job". Made me feel better about my chances.

Good luck in your endeavors.

I passed the Pantex tests twice, and interviewd twice.....never heard from them again.
I passed the Excel Energy tests....never heard from them again.
I got an AAS degree and master certified....and my service manager can barely read and spell.
I have seniority here and yet I still manage to draw the [email protected] work and the smallest paycheck.

I have realized I will probably never get ahead in life because I will never kiss a but to get there.

But no matter how bad I have it there is probably someone worse off than me.

I passed the excel energy test and was hired in the transmission construction dept. Worse decision I've ever made. So don't go kicking yourself for not getting on with them.

Ramman I hope you get the job and it's everything you've hoped for.

I'm not beating myself up over Xcel energy, at the time I had been unemployed for several months after quiting a dealership auto tech job. I kinda needed a job. I have heard they are unpleasant to work for.

The only one I regret not taking was for a company that worked with industrial electrical equipment. They would have trained and payed for me to become a Journeyman electrician.
At the time I was young, dumb, enjoyed my freedom. I heard the words, "there will be a lot of OVERTIME" and I said, "no I don't want any of that"
Looking back......that was a dumb move.

My father in law is a manager at excel and he tells me about some of the bs that goes on there and it just makes me laugh. I wouldn't mind getting on with the power plant side but the lineman portion is for the birds.

I was applying for a shop position, I guess I would have been working on and maintaing their trucks and equipment.
I wouldn't even consider the lineman stuff, the road and heights are not for me.

Sometimes I think I put up with way too much bs.
This place has seen so much employee turnover, I think I am the dumb one for staying.

If the keystone pipeline ever get approved it would be the best thing to happen to americas job market in decades.
Right now the economy is so stagnant I just try to be grateful for having a respectable job.
