that does suck... I've seen a couple here in town and thought of yours everytime. nice trucks.

drop the plate # so we can be on the lookout. it's hard to miss one of those.

When I bought the truck the dealer only had one key. I was concerned and specifically mentioned it to the salesman. The one key I did get was the kind with a chip in it (so I was told by the dealer and a locksmith), but I had a "plain" key made and it worked fine (I drove it around). This leads me to believe I had none of the original keys.

No obvious signs of forced entry left behind in the driveway. Cops said with tinted windows many times it holds the glass together.

One of the biggest pains of this whole deal: hadn't transferred title yet on the fifth wheel. The SIGNED South Carolina title for it was in the truck so that I would be ready if/when I found a little time to sneak away from work. I have to make some calls to Alabama (where I bought the camper).

I've reported stolen the few credit cards I had in the truck and taken care of the checkbook that was in there (only 4-5 checks in the book).

The biggest bummer of all: no insurance will cover the WORK I've lost in my laptop or the many teaching reference books I had in there. It's less about the money and more about the time lost trying to rebuild my library and my important files (and rounding up a rent car and time on the phone cancelling credit cards etc etc). Luckily, I had sent recent updates of some important files to coworkers so a portion of my current projects are recoverable. I checked my "Sent" box at work just to make sure.

man, that is great to hear that it is recovered without being set on fire or something. sucks about the tires and wheels though. hopefully that will be the only thing missing and the only damage

now you can get nicer wheels cheaper than the dodge 20s and save enough to pay your deductible.
