Slap biatch, Rick James is back!!!

Whats up guys/gals?, I feel really bad for not keeping up with ya'll especially after Mudgod talked to me when he FINALLY came to pick his hood up. This has been a pretty rough year for me....went through a divorce and a few jobs (no computer for about 3 months ), but I'm still here. Anyways after talking to Brad (Fishy1) quite a few times I have decided to start my Yota project back up, gonna try to go pretty cheap and simple......Yota axles on 38's and a set of dual cases. I am in need of all of these parts so keep your eyes out. I hope everyone has a great Christmas and New Years.

Glen

This one Eric. Just started a new job so untill I got my head above water I did not do much on the project. What I did manage to do was find a great platform for my build. After thinking of using the grey Yota (4wheelerJeffs ole truck) I thought more about it. Anyway it needed everything. I found an 87 Yota on Ebay witha EFI 22R, W56 tranny and a top shift tcase. Then I called him up and told him I needed a solid front axle and another tcase if he could. A few days later he called me back and said he found a whole truck for $50 bucks. Anyway I have to go to Amarillo to meet him (He is driving from Raton, NM) so I told him I did not have room for a whole nother truck so he volunteered to cut the stuff out that I need plus rear end, tranny, d-shafts, springs, etc.

Anyway gona go get it and build this simple. Gonna get some 38's, dual cases, 4 link the rear, Rear springs up front and cage it up. Gonna be quick and painless.....I hope.

Are you building it or another one. I was not clear on that point.

Good luck either way.

Well I "bought" another truck...an 87 w/22RE, W56 and top shift and the rest of a solid axle truck to complete the IRS 87 and put in a doubler. BUT, I have been on the guy for about 3 weeks to pick it up. He lives in Raton, NM and he was gonna meet me in Amarillo Mothers Day weekend, but he put that off, then last weekend I called him all the week before and he finally called last Sat and said he was out of town. He then told me that we could do it this weekend....nevertheless I have called him the better part of the week and he has not answered or returned his emails. I finally got in touch with his wife on her cell (after I *67 my number!!) and she says he has been sick and some excuse like that. Soooooo....if he dont call me by 5 tomorrow afternoon when I am supposed to leave for Amarillo I am gonna go to the old Paypal Resolution Center!!! He has $375 of my money and that pisses me off!

Sorry for the rant, but dang that chaps my ***** when people do that crap!!

If this truck dont work out I'm thinking about using the grey truck and putting Rocks under it, 4.3L Chevy/TH350/Yota dual cases. Heck Rocks are cheap and require little to no upgrade to run, 4.3's are plentiful and so are TH350 trannys.

Well just got home from Amarillo.....finally got the truck last night at 7pm (it was supposed to be there at NOON!!!!) Anyway left for Amarillo about 9pm Friday night and got there around 4:30am Saturday. Got up at 10am to meet the guy and well you read the first sentence! When his delivery driver got there (the owner did not have the balls to come his self cause if he did he would be sh**tin teeth for a week) he did not have the extra parts so now I am stuck with no front end (truck was an IFS) and no extra tcase for my doubler!!! FAWK I wanted to kill that freakin Indian......sorry if there are people of indian descent on here

Anyway the truck is just basically a fire wall and floorboards but the idiot hacked the firewall all up for some stupid reason!! So now I am thinking about swapping all the running gear into the grey truck...not sure gotta try to sift through the wiring harness cause the engine and chassis harness are suppose to be pretty integrated in the 87's. Well anyhow I am gonna get some sleep and get up tomorrow and dig into it.
