Spin off

Well rather than high jacking OldGoat's thread again I figured I would start this one.
What diesel power systems do you have and what do you think about them.
I know it is a very competitive world in this market with every company one upping the other every day. So let's hear what you think and what you got.

My take.

I am a firm believer of " You get what you pay for ". I for one would rather have real parts not just microchips and tuners. The experiences I have had with other companies product's has not been that great. running the gambit from voiding warranties, to horrible customer service, to wreaking havoc on the vehicles computer and causing it to go haywire. And friends telling me the problems they have had with other systems. I have yet to hear of a problem or have a problem with banks. I ordered the full six gun setup for my 04 dodge cummins and even though I didn't install the speed loader add on chip I'm still cranking out 452hp and 932ft lbs of torque on the highest setting dyno proven. And that is without the upgraded inter-cooler or the new variable geometry turbo. Plus I picked up an added 6mpg due to the optimized fuel injector timing. As for Banks customer service there the bomb. When I took my truck in for it's first service the dealership told me they were going to have to void the trucks warranty due to the system, well I relayed this info to banks and they called said dealership and explained that they could not do that because the system was partly developed in a joint venture with Cummins and they had to honor the trucks warranty. And after some calls and faxes the problem was resolved now how's that for customer service. Even with 26,000 lead foot miles later not a single problem and they are still standing behind it. That's my take so let's hear yours because something bigger and better is always coming down the road.

And since I planed to juice the truck I got the 6 speed standard to make things easier on the tranz. Like you said and it can not be stressed enuf. To make safe power in a diesel you have to properly match your fuel to your air. Blowing tons of black smoke may look cool, but it is doing more harm than good.

That is great customer service. Usually, after you pay for a product, the vendor disowns you.
