Are there any laws against dogs??

I found this through myspace,

http://www.chako.org/no861.html

some was passing a bulletin, but i wanted to check it out and i found this site. is there anything like this in texas?? i know they are banning dogs, in counties but is it statewide yet??

And why are they scared of dog, they should be afraid of the owner of these dogs that are dangerous!

If they can find my Dane's balls, they can have 'em.

I hate regulations like that. I don't believe there's anything as far as a statewide program in the works here in Texas, but I'm sure someone is thinking about putting the issue on the table. The issue has come up in Lubbock two or three times but has managed to escape becoming law.

I'll always have a big dog, most likely a Great Dane. I've loved every minute of my ownership of Cletus and would truly be lost without him. The other two that I had were much more agressive dogs, but they still knew where there place in the world was. I never felt threatened by them, or felt that my children were in any sort of danger.

it is all in the owners of the dog. i had a german sheppard, he was a good dog, but we raised him to be a guard dog and that is what he was. if we was in the yard everything was fine, but when someone came in the yard and we weren't there, he of course guarded the house by letting them know they wasn't welcome in the yard!!

But we had strict control of that dog, as he never harmed little kids, my cousin used to play with him and pull his tail, but all he did was whine! lol

I miss him. but in the future i thought of getting another dog, and it is in the line of what they are trying to ban, and i wanted to make sure it didn't pass, just like all of these restriction on off-roading. i might not do it now, but i go out with friends and i plan on one day getting a rig!

Everybody that has wheeled with my dog knows he is a sweetheart, but nobody will come in my yard just because of the way he looks.

truckless will become famous soon enough
i currently have a german shepherd and if they banned her, i would prolly let her bite 'em. she is the nicest dog when i am there and loves kids and small dogs(she knows when she is superior and becomes totally submissive soshe can play with them). banning a dog for there breed is no different than banning a human, some would say that one race might be more aggressive than another. just because dogs can't speak their minds and plea their case does not allow someone stamp them evil or dangerous due to their particular breed. just my $.02.

you can't hate her. macie is her name.

that is rediculious, i have 2 pit bulls and 1 chihua(sp) the little dog is meaner that the 2 big dogs together. my 12.5 yr old stafordshire bull terrier(105lbs) is the best dog i have ever had, he'll babysit kids in the yard and not let anyone in at all he's very well trained and has been around people and kids all his life. the 6 month old american pit bull terrier(40lbs) "blue bell" (shes a 7 gen blue$$$$) is learning now how to act and is great with kids and tries to play with the little dog but is a little to ruff right now. they are smart and love to learn and love to go around people. some folks need to learn more about the animals they are trying to ban!! american pit bulls were the US mascot during WWI, and the dog on little rascals was a what? Pit Bull...

will my dogs bite you? if you try to come into or around my house and nobodies home, probably. if you act aggresivley towards a small child, definately. if i say ouch and point at you yep Ruger will get ya. but if yr 3 yr old is pulling on his ears and whiskers, nope! he'll hang his head and stand there to make sure yr kid doesnt get into any trouble.
