Tire Recap?

I need to get some tires for my flatbed recapped. Anybody have recommendations on where to get it done?

Thought of this thread when I saw this on craigslist: http://austin.craigslist.org/pts/1375502529.html

$1,000 for 8 tires of that size and weight rating seems cheap to me, though he didn't list the brand name in his ad...

I would be scared of running caps on a spread axle. I would think the scrub would pull the cap off when you turned. Even if you have a dump valve on one or the other axle. I have never had a spread but I have been around alot and I think you have to have the front set of tires on the trailer "rounded" dont ya?

I really don't have a clue. I never pull with this trailer for the most part. Hell, the truck just sits in the pasture right now too.

I would like to sell the trailer, but when folks come out to look at it and see the tires they usually balk at it.

How much you asking for it? Is it a steel/alum combo? Airride? Give me some details. I been thinking about buying a older haul truck to fool with. I want an older Peterbilt cabover to stretch out....LOL!
