Thumbs down Tonight, instead of wrenching, I . . .

. . . shampooed up kid puke from the carpet (just wait MudGod, your day is coming). Sorry, no pics. I do smell kinda like buttermilk that's been left in the sun now, though, and that really is a special gift all its own.

What about you? What did you do tonight instead of wrenching?

[I intend for this thread to be a continuing series]

Picked up the little one from day care, loaded up the truck and took it out to my bud's place so I can wrench on it Sat. Then came home gave the little one a bath and now I'm surfing the web. Not for long though, it's getting close to bed time.

Got off work, ate a bite, then I removed the wheel kit and handle on the portable / generator that I bought last night. My truck should be back from the Rhino lining and window tinting place tomorrow so I can start mounting the tools, , and air compressor!

Went out to help sort all the RMEF auction/raffle items that I've gotta go help set up Saturday. Ate free pizza. Sat around bs'n. Sorted some more stuff. Got ready to leave and lost my cell phone. Had to go back through all the boxes I'd touched to see if I dropped it in one. Finally someone called and my babysitter at the house answered, but I found my phone. Re-packed all the stuff I'd drug out and noticed everyone was pitching in for the "free" pizza and felt like a real schmuck cuz I didn't have any cash.

Came home and wifey's just continuing to reveal things she's forgotten to tell me for the last couple weeks. Stuff like, "Oh, Vicky's pregnant.", "I have to work late this weekend," and "by the way I deleted all the pr0n off your computer while you were in Dallas."

now I really wanna go wrench, but it's too dark and I dunno what I'd end up tearing up anyhow...

I

I interviewed for the General Managers Position of a 5 Star Hotel. Tomorrow I meet with the owner of the chain of the hotels. Perhaps I will be gainfully employed soon and stop bleeding red ink this year.

....spent 6 hours in the ER with my wife after she threw her shoulder out. We had the bright idea to take the kids bowling (they'd never been and are ages 4 and 2).

So, 11am to 12 pm, bowling. 12 pm to 6 pm ER (with every other idiot on the planet in there to get something looked at). 6 pm to nite nite, daddy hustling dinner and kids off to bed and then collapsing in a heap myself.

PS. Was it wrong for me to think to myself as I was paying the co-pay at the ER, "well, there goes my Doug Thorley header"?

That is very wrong! You should have went in the hole with the ER bill and saved the cash for the rig.
I hope the kids didn't have to wait with you.
It is almost worth it to shoot your self to get ahead of the line. Or clame you are have chest pains and while you have me back here can you look at my arm, I hurt it when the chest pains knocked me off my feet!

I will never take myself to the ER.
Ride in an ambulance and skip to the head of the line.

My wife wasn't keen on the idea of getting wheeled out of the bowling alley. Problem here in Houston is that everyone who can't speak english or doesn't have insurance uses the ER's for primary care . . .

Tell us something that we don't know. After all we live in a border state. When in Rome do as the Romans!!!
Try living within one mile of the border and see how things really work. lol

Messed around with some rifles a little and think I'll go out shooting a little tomorrow since the wife wants to go. If I feel better Monday I'll be back to wrenching tho.
