Truck Bounces.......why??????

I have a 2002 DODGE 1500 Quadcab and when I brake the whole truck bounces REAL BAD. I have had this problem for a longtime and really tired of it. I have replaced the rotors 2 times, pads, front shocks, had tires and just wheels balanced and have a few mechanics and front end shops look at it. ANY ideas? I have had the truck since it had 14,000 miles on it. Stated to do this at about 65,000 and now at 107,000 it drives me nuts!!!!!!!!!!!! ABS and computer doesn't say anything is wrong.

sorry guys.........it's 2 wheel drive with rack-n-pinion. Have checked ball joints and did change shocks. I'm wondering if there is a sensor that's not working properly with the ABS and not pulsating properly. Just no codes saying what's wrong.

two pennies

Have some one stand by the side of the road. And have them look at your tires when you brake...passing them up. I can think of a few things. front end locking up and making it bounce. No rear breaks might be why your front disc's have been replaced two times. They are working harder to slow down the truck with no help from the rear. The rear if drum may need to be adjusted.
For ball joints...On the cheby. I have notice that at extreme turn driving about 5MPH I get a wobble. I'm pretty sure it's because of the ball joints. I'n no SAE mechanic just giving you my two pennies.

If the lugnuts are/were over-torqued it can warp the rotors. I read this on a Dodge forum somewhere. Did the bounce change after the rotor change? Go away for a bit then come back?

My wife has an '03 we had the same problem. Dealership got us new front rotors and some kind of new calipers that superceded the ones that came factory, no more problems. There is a TSB on this problem, but since we were over 12k miles we ended up paying $100. It seems the original calipers weren't retracting completely and overheating/warping the rotors.
