Well Ain't That The **its

My pretty, green, dually Dodge that I got out of the shop 11 days ago looking better than it did when I bought it....

I'm on my way to lunch today doing about 20 in a 30 (tricky intersection through an underpass) when out of nowhere a guy pulls out of a gas station driveway and right in front of me. I slammed on my brakes and he slammed on his; we almost didn't hit. Almost.

He's lucky I had a couple of milliseconds to stomp the brake hard, otherwise I would have driven right over his hood. He's lucky he found some brake, otherwise he would have been kissing my front bumper from his driver's seat.

I have right side damage, minimum steering (perfect alignment 11 days ago; not so perfect now), possible suspension (control arms), and my bumper must have kissed his hood as he went under me. Very driveable.

He has a demolished left front corner on his car, but it was still driveable.

His insurance company's adjuster has already called me back...that's good.

Sorry to hear that. Well hopefully they will repair it back to its original. I took Lynne's F250 to the shop today to replace torque converter and replace all seals in transmission. Warranty company should cover all.

Good deal.

Let's go back to Arizona in March and do all the trails we missed! I can leave Dallas around 4pm March 9th and can wait as late as sundown March 17 to start back to Texas. Do all the southern trails that are too hot for daytime running in the summer. We could finish with trails around Tuscon on that last day and be that much closer to Texas.

If Richie's spring break matches up....let's do it!!!

And Colorado next summer!!!

Will have to check his spring break calendar and our schedule. Lynne and I will be married 10 years in April and are planning a vacation then, so we will have to see how all this works out.

Get some HD bumper replacements Hatch, next time you might be able to cream the guy and come away unscratched.

oops

Man, sorry to hear about that Hatch. I know how you feel, my stepson was loading (empty ) plastric drums in the bed of my new tow rig and slammed one of them into the side of the bed putting 2 large dents in it, got them to pop out some but I will live with it.
Hope you are able to get it fixed good as new again, soon.
