what a load of crap

Well looks like our tax dollars are at work again to take more money out of our pockets. Wouldn't this money be better spent fighting real crimes like murder, robbery, rape etc... But, law enforcement has become just like the rest of government, it is there to generate revenue and little else.
Just in case we accidentally go over the speed limit.

sorry

Sorry, I got it from my wife who had heard WBPA had confirmed it. My bad! I still feel there should be better things to do than patrolling for speeders though. All my other comments stand about the government being about generating revenue.

They do every year around Marshall. You know how much driving I do up here. They bring extra State Troopers and set up on IH-20 every 5-10 miles from the State line to Longview.

I don't make it to DFW much. Can't really stand the place to be honest, but I think it's more the fault of a few particular people there rather than the place as a whole (read: ex-wife).

One thing I've noticed driving through there is that someone is almost always pulled over for speeding, but people still blow by the LEO's doing 10-15 over the speed limit. I've ridden with "natives" of DFW and they almost always drive at what feels like nightmarish speeds, pass by the cops, and don't even blink about it. As long as I can see an officer, I usually will lift the skinny pedal a little. What scares me though is all those signs advertising that planes and helicopters are used in enforcing speed limits.

How often do people actually get ticketed from a plane? Or are the signs more there just to try and get people to slow down a little more?
