whats the reason for buying, see iaa sticker on it , poor salvage value as not a whole lot of good parts. roll over so may have engine problem . they are selling at auction from 1500-3k here at the insurance sales.

Reason for buying, for the motor and tranny, not really worried about the salvage value. What kind of engine probs could there be if there was no engine compartment damage?

With a rollover you can get oil in places it shouldn't be. Just make sure it starts and doesn't smoke.

You could find an already pulled 5.3 in the 1500-2k range without having to deal with the rest of the crap...

I know I could, but I want to make sure that I get the Engine, Tranny, computer, wiring, fuel pump and anything else that might nickel and dime me from getting an already dropped engine.

Hit up nhd on here, He does the 5.3's turn key and you can here them run. I believe his are 1500-and up depends on the miles on the motor.

Btw if you dont get a whole vehicle look for the cable style throttle body not the drive by wire.
