What were they thinking?

The following events really happened, the names and places have been changed to protect the morons who did the dirty deeds.

This morning at 6AM it was foggy, very foggy, pea soup foggy, get the picture? There were at least 2 dozen vehicles on the road between Cabbage and Shortview, Texas with no headlights on or with only their " hey, look at me I'm so cool driving in the dark with only my parking lkights" on.

This morning on the same roadway some driver with oatmeal in their cranium passed the "OldGoat" pulled in front of him and then slammed on their brakes to make a right turn, boy, good thing for them they saved 2 seconds of driving time.

This morning people who presumably have passed the drivers license exam were driving in the left hand lane doing 55 MPH right beside another vehicle going about the same speed. Of course the speed limit was 70 MPH and there were several cars behind the driver in the left hand lane.

This morning you can bet there were several speeding tickets given out for the serious "crime" of driving too fast but you can also rest assured not a single ticket was given out to the hunk of junk car spreading a thick blue fog from their worn out engine into the air we all breath, now I ask you, which is worse???

This morning as usual the side of the road was littered with trash that people tossed out of their vehicle.

chit, is that all that happened to you today??? thats nothing.

I just got through spending 8 hours (non paid) insulating the second story ceiling of 25 year old 2500 sq ft of offices that had more large rat turds than I've ever seen in my life. I almost fell through the ceiling tiles once and took down about an 8'x5' section of tiles, frame and ductwork that guess who (me, of course) had to repair before continuing to finish the insulation job.

But oh no, is that the worst of it. I then let my bosses superior know that I was done with this project and he should hear no more complaining from the front office people about being cold/hot to then find out that I HAD INSULATED THE WRONG SECTION OF THE BUILDING and now need to insulate the correct section next weekend. (the miscommunication came from my direct boss telling me that it was the admin offices that needed insulating when it turns out it was the adVID offices).

All in all, I would say that you had a pretty good day oldgoat!!!

It was kinda funny, but I'm sure I wont be laughing next saturday morning. Luckily my bosses superior was not upset about the situation so that made things easier to deal with.

Where I should not be allowed to drive. I was north of Bowie on 81, looking at a train to my left. I moved over into the left lane for awhile, and when I looked back some crazy fool was headed right at me. I thought the fool was playing 'chicken', so I whipped back into the right lane. About the time I realized I was a poor looser, I also realized I was not on a divided highway.

my exwife almost ran me over doing that one. Her and Lee were following me and I had stopped to turn left, she was telling lee to look at the train on the right.. Lucky for me I saw her not slowing and hammered on it before she ran up my exhaust pipe...After we stopped and I walked back to ask her if she had increased the coverage on my life ins. she told me that she never saw me stopped till it was too late.. she was telling Lee "look at the Train"

Honest mistake there Eddie. A bit different when folks do not use their head except for a hat rack.
BTW I forgot to add a comment about all the important people who park cars in front of a store where there is no parking allowed, except for them of course, the rest of us can just wait till they move or we can back up and go around the parking lot...

Add in the folks who seem to think it is their job in life to just let their shopping cart roll wherever and into any car on the lot because they are too lazy to put the cart into the rack.

Finally while on the subject of morons at the grocery store/ WalMart there is always that person who "just has to run get one item I forgot" while the rest of the line waiting to check out gets to stand there. Do they care how inconsiderate they are, NO. The checker should be allowed to put all their purchases back into the cart and send the cart to the back of the line...
