1 ton 4runner

Anybody have any pics of a 90's model 4 runner on 1tons? Looking to possibly begin planning out a new project that has a realistic completion date of next spring instead of another summer wrenching in the garage.
I Picked up a set of 39.5s on bead locks and am planing on purchasing mudgod's 1tons at the end of the month. Add some coilover's, a fuel cell, some link material, joints and driveshafts...
Any tips or links are greatly apperciated

This is where I got the idea...http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=468364

Thanks
Cory

It's not a runner, but Mitch is building a toyota pickup on 1 tons. Check out the Projects forum.

I got two buds in the tomball/spring area. That have 90's 4runners with 1 tons and v8's. There probly some of the nice one i seen, They look like they rolled off the deal floor with them. Look at my pics link there mite be acouple in there. I know one of them was just in petersons oe fourwheeler. In there shoot from spring creek ORP. There both white.

Try to use the toy tank and fuel pump set up. They well run tbi and vortec and tpi motors. And the pumps last forever. Most run stock leafs rears up front and they link the rears. And you can get them to set pretty low.

further planning

Thanks for the pics.

Ok heres the plan so far,

I want to link it front and rear but, since I'm trying to set a reasonable completion date I'm leaning towards running leaf springs up front. Sky has a sweet sas hanger kit that is on sale(I couldn't build every thing and stay below their price) and with a set of 5'' long travel all pro springs i should be able to push the axle 2.5" forward and clear 40's with some trimming. I've also got a set of ord zero rates left over that could be used to push it even further forward. I have a new set of fox 14" travel shocks that could possibly end up under it as well.

Since the rear is already linked Id like to keep that same setup. I will however not be using any factory components or geometry. Im thinking a triangulated 4 link with coil over's and limiting straps so the rear doesnt do all the work.

It seems my biggest project up is going to be setting up the steering up front. I want to run x over high steer w/ hydro assist. The 1 tons already have ott steering arms and I have a 1.5" x 8" rocklogic ram so it seems I just need the drag link, tie rod and chevy tre's. I have heard of clearance issues with the factory 3.0 pan and the tierod. If this does become a problem I can switch to a t100 pan to gain the necessary clearance. Since I plan to push the axle so far forward i'll have to move the steering box forward as well as tap it for the ram assist.

Brakes seems to be another problem area, even more so since I'm planning on running disc's all around. I have done some research and it seems making the abs work isn't going to happen. I'll have to remove the system and figure out the specifics when i get there.

The next big hurdle will be drive line issues. Id love to run a doubler setup but I can't seem to get a straight answer as to what id need. It seems that in order to use run a doubler behind my auto (a340h) I need either a an adapter from inchworm or gear slug. What I can't figure out is if i can use my existing chain driven t-case(what is it?) or have to find a gear driven top shift case? Once i get that worked out I'll figure out the driveshafts.

Thanks guys for the input,
Cory

Wow mitch nice rig. Id like to keep this rig street able and to use as a dd in the winter when its too cold to be on my bike. Work is less that 3 miles round trip so im not too concerned about mileage. I can't justify it being trail only yet since the closest legal place to wheel is almost 2 hours away.
