Yes, that will be one of the first things I do... The picture is when this buggy was pretty new, it a bit rougher looking now...
Its gonna need new driver side skins..
But its still pretty nice.

i would go w/ the chromo 4 seater if i were you, it's got twice tha axles, 2 more seats, more bling & no cleanup or work needed!!

just my 2 cents

The rig looks like a nice rig but also looks like it will take alot of work to bring back to shape

I will take a look at this buggy, and if its in bad shape, I may back out.. If not, this is the route that I want to go. I like the other buggy, and its got some nice parts but its just not me...
This rig does not have as much to fix as one would think.. Or at least thats what I have been told. It does have a couple of small minior things, but nothing that cannot be fixed pretty quick...

Time will tell... I will be making the trip this weekend.

I do appreciate your info though... Several others have said the same thing as you.. I know the other rig has been taken care of, but like I said, its just not me...

Plus the other rig is about 4 or 5 thou more than this one.

Guess I am not much on my knowledge of axles, but from what I was told, The buggy that I am looking at has some really nice and strong axles under it.. especially the front one..
Here are the specs on it..
Front axle narrowed d60 hi- pinion
Yukon 4.56 gears
35 spline longfield cv's
Rockercrusher drive flanges
Detroit locker
Psc double ended ram
Dynatrac cover
Aluminum Ator highsteerarms
Denbear knuckles
2 sets of spare axles
1 alloy usa with longfield 300m u-joints
2 chromoly shafts with ctms

My question is... What makes the other buggies axles twice as good..

Just curious.

okay i have to ask where are yall finding both of these buggies in question as i can't seem to find them if they are on pirate.
it sounds like it's a sweet buggy. and depending on what work needs to be done i'd say having to fix a couple things wouldnt be a bad thing as it will familurize you with the rig and let you make changes to call it your own

Currie center sections w/ DOM tubes
Currie knuckles & C's (Unit bearing knuckles)
CTM 300m axles w/ ctm shafts

Thanks BIG-TEX I know that Currie makes a great product, and Iknow that the CTM;s are the bomb.. I am running them in my jeep right now..
I just did not know that the axles under that rig were so much better..

Thanks for the info

Both Buggies are on Pirate... The 4 seater one is on page 1... Its a comp buggy, but the cage just really throws me for a loop... The buggy has won several comps.. They are asking 22 for this buggy.

The buggy that I am wanting is either on page 2 or 3..

The buggy that I am looking at the guy is wanting 20 for it.. He told me he would sale it to me for 18,500.. Not to bad..

I have wheeled with the blue one alot. Crawlfish is a great guy!! The buggy is AMAZING, If I had the cash it would be in my shop now. There isnt one thing I would change on it if it was mine. It makes every obstacle look like a speed bump. As for it being in rough shape, no way in hell it is. It is in GREAT shape. BU IT!!

Ya'll thats like 85mudblazin dream rig. Ive wheeled with him to. That a bad *** rig. There's no way it in rough shape. Maybe rock scrares from k-rock or wheeling. And it gots a heathy motor in that thing. Lots of gogo when you mash on the skinny.

No,

Its a great rig and all, But its got more work (( cosmetics )) that needs to be doen to it than my wife would be happy with..
If I spend 18 or 19 thou, she is gonna expect something to be close if not cleaner then my rig..

But it sure was a sweet ride.. Sounded great too.
