Anyone ever ship tires and rims?

Need some advice on who the best/cheapest carrier is. Ive been searching online and running quotes, but want some "real world" experience.

Check with Fastenall, if you have one close to you.

Automatic transmissions are gay.

I had a pallet of 6 wheels, weighing 44 lbs each, shipped from Viriginia, to here through Fastenal. I want to say it was in the $125 range.

Then I shipped out 1 of those same wheels by itself from here to the Seatle area, and it cost me $80.

Everything just has to be already palletized, strapped down, and wrapped or whatever is needed, when the package is dropped off at the shipping store. Apparently prices vary according to how far from one of their Distribution centers, the stores are.

I shipped a set of krawlers from cali last year through UPS. They were way faster than shipping my axle through fastenal, but about 3 times as much. Just depends on how fast you need them?

UPS was around $50 a tire x 5, Fastenal was around $70 to ship my complete Fab9.
