axle swap

Heres what I'm doing putting 3/4 ton chevy under 86 toyota want to leaf spring. Has someone done this and can give me meus. i need or is there a kit to do this.

Have you considered getting the straight axle from an early 80s toyota? I think its a more direct swap, and its suppose to be purdy beefy. You could just take the shackles and leaf springs and stuff out of the earlier model toy.

mount the spring on the alxe get them even and build a front sub frame to match .... then use something to hang the rear shackle hangers of the frame to match easy

AA makes a kit to do this swap, try doing search on google.

Yes I've got the stuff to do a toyota axle swap. I'm going to a 350/350.I know these axle are tuff, my 350 is putting out 300+ thanks guys for the info.

I 'd say go full width front and rear and put some 38 and up tires, ain't nothing like going full with. 3/4 ton axle would probably plenty tough for a lite wieght rig. building it yourself is a lot more affordable and a hole lot better, so you know what you got and you can always modify it later. you would get alot more flex with your home built setup rather than a kit.send some pics when you get your axle on there. need more help let me know.
