Big Block Power

I built a 505 for this guy about a year ago and he recently put it in a 97 ext. cab chevrolet on 54's. Here is the aftermath of a fun weekend. Twisted intermediate shaft and the 205 divorced case is split in half...hehehe!

Nope. It was a factory big block truck and he is running the factory radiator with electric fans and he still has aircondition on it.

LOL!!! That's what I've been saying, but he won't do it. He says he wants to keep his high and low range. I'm with you though!

Top secret, but it wont involve leafs springs, K5 Blazer, or a SBC. Thats if I decide to do it. My wife is starting to complain about redoing some of the tile and paint in the house, so there goes a big chunk of change

Profabs are only $1800 and gears can be changed in 10-15mins. David and Terry have them. Pretty sweet but too much Bling.

Sounds like a t-case from a 2 ton or heavier truck would be a good option.

$1800 is for the full time case, scs offers 2wd-4wd case for about 2800-3000 I think

I'm going to stick to my 383...I broke one 32 spline input shaft, but it was only $140 to replace. I ordered the billet cap upgrade for the 205 from northwest fab, but have yet to see it. It is supposed to help the bearings from "walking" in the case. They were also slow to ship out a customers case that we bought from them. Not real happy with the service up there. I would like to do a lomax kit in it, but they don't offer it for a divorced case. Oh well...the truck is working good, so I'm just going to leave mine alone.

Alright guys...I need to correct my post. I didn't build the 505, I just helped Brian with the build. He's a cool dude and builds some sweet stuff. He is the leaf spring king of our group. If ya have any leaf spring problems he is definately the one to talk to, and he knows his motors and trannies too, just don't try to convince him to run an auto....lol!
