Considering another samurai purchase without a title

Is it worth messing with, as far as bonding and all that fun stuff? The guy who has it, bought it from his boss, who never put it in his name after he purchased it.... Confusing/shady I know. I wanted to build a streetable rig but don't know how or even if it works...

Thanks for any help you could give me!

If you know the involved parties, it is relatively easy to run them down for signatures. If that is not the case, it is an SOB.
Option two is the "bond" route and that is very time consuming, but doable.

Whichever route you take, be sure to get a bill of sale with appropriate information.

Yeah I have no idea who the last person was to title it, and neither does the guy who has it now. What a mess... Im thinking I'll just keep looking for one with a legit title and all that.

Thanks for the help

I'm of no help, but why is it that a lot of Sammy's you see for sale don't have titles?

So many people run them for cheap ranch trucks and don't care about a title

And we have a winner.

I don't have titles on either one of my zukis. How many Zukies do you see running around on the highway these days. Most are used for hunting and farm rigs.

There are plenty of times I do wish I had a title on either one of my Zukies but I've just accepted the fact they are just trail rigs now.

Obviously illegal..and not that I condone it, but why can't you do a vin swap?

Thought about it... I'm unsure how I would even find anyone willing to sell just a title.
