Dash for the Chassis

Dash sugestions, next is the firewall then dash... want to run bars down from the cross bars to the seat mounts for the Art Car shifter, but the dash style is eluding me. Any pics or links/ideas will be helpful. had it running yesterday for a while...it was good.

don't have any good suggestion, but IMO I wouldn't go dimond plate like the floor boards. Due to the sun shining off it into your eyes.

But it sure does look good.

I took a piece of aluminum and ran a jitterbug across it. It looks good and doesnt reflect much light.

I would..maybe a satin or flat black. maybe dull the shine on the aluminum with a wire wheel.
Great work!!!

My dash, floor and center are all polished diamond plate and it's not bad at all. I figured it would blind me as well, but it doesn't. I was pretty surprised.

Going to paint it the same color as the chassis. Or wear glasses, what ever's cheaper, also, we have to put it in the sun before it can be a problem...L

I felt like my interior was the toughest part of my build. I had a million ideas. One was seeing the crawlmaro dash on xtreme4x4 then I just had to throw my hands up and go. I wanted to wheel more than I wanted a $1500 dash. Lol

Good luck man

Thats right about where I want to be, the center console is to tall, but the dash is perfect...thanks for that,..I'm just going to dive in and waste some metal until I nail it....L

I couldn't find a pic of my dash finished, this is the closest I could locate. I put all my switches above the shifter. The console area was finished off with polished diamond plate too. I can get a pic of it complete if you want.

My orbital is mounted to the bottom of the dash bar with a piece of 1/4" plate.

The tilt will be welded to the upper cross bar and the hydroboost to a lower one, yet to be installed,. Space is a problem, trying to fit the orbital and the hydro boost and master within a small space, still working on the remote hydro boost,
