Diesel Inspection Stickers

Just FYI SB 1350 just went to committee.

83(R) SB 1350 - Introduced version - Bill Analysis

It requires diesel emissions testing and prohibits you from getting your registration if you haven't completed emissions testing on all cars. Additionally if you get stopped they can issue a "fix it ticket" where ther revoke the inspection and you would need to get the vehicle reinspected.

A call to your senators, specifically these guys on this committee would be helpful to kill this thing.

Committee List

Chair
.Robert Nichols
Vice-Chair
.Ken Paxton

Members:
.Donna Campbell
.Wendy Davis
.Rodney Ellis
.Kelly Hancock
.Dan Patrick
.Carlos Uresti
.Kirk Watson

Texas Senate: Transportation

Spread it around

maskale just gettin started
does this still have the exemption for trucks over a certain age?

old beaters get more and more attractive as restrictions keep getting tighter.

Emission testing is not possible on any diesel older than 96 due to the standardized diagnosis connector, however they may require a Asm/tsi test with the tail pipe probe.

Lazy ***.

Who Represents Me--Home

Find guys (senator/state rep), send email. "I strongly disapprove of the provisions within SB1350, and I also vote at every election. Please do not pass / enact this bill."

There just copy paste.

This bill will probably result in a bunch of unregisterable older cars after the cost to repair outweighs their worth among other issues.

I did my part.

It's getting harder and harder to justify the owner ship of a diesel these days.

I think my grandpa called it about it 10 years ago. They're trying to make it to where the average person can't afford to own a diesel pickup.
