Houston area wheeling?

A member called me concerning wheeling in the Houston area? Any good places? This member is relocating to the Houston area soon.

What kind....we are kinda flat down here! What part of houston? There are some mud pits up in spring....Gen Sam's is just a small drive north......Crystal beach is a small drive south for sand......

Sorry, not sure which part he will be in, we did not get to talk too long. I told him that folks from the Houston area could better answer his question. He did not say if he liked mud, sand or rocks. Maybe he will chime in here.

A nice weekend spot is over there by Sea wolf park. Lots of 4x4's in there after it rains. I like the beach myself. There are two big rivers on eather side of Houston. On Hwy 90 going east is a great spot with lots of trails.

down by seawolf is pelican island, we go there on occasion, but its really bad if you get in the spoil areas inside the berms. its hard on top and if you break through it can get really deep depending on where you are. the rest of the area is ok so small climbs, and driving through the washouts is some what fun at times. but if you wanna really wheel you'll have to drive a ways before you can...

appy just gettin started
there's always spring creek, north of town. Went yesterday and had a blast. Ok, got stuck a bunch, but fun anyway.
