I have their bumper pull version of that trailer. If you look at it on their website it has slide in ramps, that could be done also on the goose if you wanted.

Just curious but how much does a trailer like that cost?

I'm not trying to be "that guy" but watch out for trout trailers. The QC department sucks ***. My trailer ate the first set of tires up in the first 1k miles. Turns out the axles were mounted upside down. Then come to find out, Jeepinty on here had the same problem with his trout trailer.......

PJ trailers will build you anything you want, I was going to order one from them until I was able to buy my old Kaufman Trailer Sales trailer back from OldGoat.

Also check out Maxey trailers, they will build to suit as well. They are very nice but pricey.

So, how do you install a trailer axle upside down?

Obviously, you wouldn't buy one from me...

Some axles are made to ride spring under and others are spring over. The axles that were installed on our trailers were meant to be spring over, but were installed under. Tires wore like ****.
This means the positive arch was actually negative arch.

How does spring over versus under make any difference? Unless the perch is welded on for one or the other and a ******* idiot wanted to change it and flipped the axle instead of moving the perch.

On every 5200lbs or 7k axle I have seen the backing plate only allow the brake plates be mounted in one direction. To mount the axle upside down would mean the brakes are upside down and would not function.

Yes, the perches are welded on the wrong side for it to be spring under. I have a big long thread over on pirate with people argueing the same thing. I just welded new perches 180 degrees and rolled the axle. Works great now.

Jeepinty actually brought his back to the dealer and they swapped the axles out completely......

I did have the same trouble with my Trout trailer. The difference was they ended up taking care of mine even almost two years after I bought it. They ended up giving me two new axles and 4 new tires at no cost and installed everything at their shop. They offered to come get it after I expressed concern about driving up there on the bad tires but I ended up bring it to them anyways. I can't remember names but the father (owner) seemed to want to make everything right any way he could, the son said when I picked it up that he thought the axles were just bent but I was happy anyways.

It is worth mentioning that I don't think they build any of their own trailers. If you look at their stuff I think they are actually Tiger Trailers with Trout stickers on them. While mine isn't any Big Tex it seems like a decent enough trailer for the money and they kind of went the extra mile for me even though it was technically their fault.
