Lowbuck Tubing Bender

Have Ya'll see this? click this. They where using it on Exreme 4x4 TV today for the cheap jeep project. A complete bender with one die for one size of tubing $499.00 .

That is not a bad price for a bender.
So what do ya'll think? or

I bought one like that for 100 bucks. Its was more like the standup one that protools sells for 500+. The guy made it, and it had a protools die (90*). It worked GREAT. You could sit in a chair and bend tube...NO heaving a cheater bar, no bolting it to the ground, etc. It was sooo much easier to "tweek" a bend for another degree or 2. I will NEVER use a 'manual' bender again.
My only little complaint was that I couldnt do things like stingers, but hell, stingers are gay anyways. LOL.
The design I like most is this one http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=376183. If you go to the guys link off of ebay (for the plans) he shows how to modify a 120* die to bend 180*. Ill find the link.
My only beef w/ the Lowbuck is the cheesy lookin dies, but I might be way-off on that..

looks like www.gottrikes.com has the plans.

this is it on ebay.

Sweet looking toy! You cut everything off. My wife wants to go to a horse ranch somewhere north of there on IH-30. Have you been to Barnwell yet?

bender

MG if you keep that die sprayed down with WD40 or some type of lube in the "u" of the die as you bend I bet it will last forever. The lube helped a lot on Clint's bender. Good luck and happy bending lol

So, for 20 for the plans, 50 for a air over hydro, 250 for a die, and another 100 for the steel. Not bad!
