Well the TD40 is an I6 3,6l turbo diesel. Is was used in Volvo trucks F4 and F408 and also in diggers and so on. I was also used by Volvo Penta as a marine engine then called TAMD40, TMD40 .... and more. When it comes to power its similar to GM 6.2/6.5 std 130hk-200hk and ~same torque. The pros is that it lasts 2-3 times a 6.2. Weight 380kg/837lbs. People over here puts it in Blazers, vans and Range Rovers.

My new baby.

We have a long cold winter and I got to have something to do....

The hardest thing will be to fit a gearbox to it but problems are possibilities in disguise.

Well, noting beats a petrol V8 when it comes to sound a diesel sounds like trowing metal scrap in an empty container, but this one is more practical, runs for ever, since it have no electronics it basically could run under water if you got a snorkel, I estimate that Ill get 2 times miles per gallon compared to my old AMC 360.

some other pros, it has no camchain its gear driven, it has a built in air compressor (for truck brakes) it could be used for airtools or filling air in tires.
