NP208 slip yoke eliminator

They are kinda pricey and hard to find because the output is not tapped. I found a guy online that said he made one for 20 bucks. I like his idea; he said he used a th400 ouput, a washer and a large bolt. Thoughts?

I would like to do this to my ford so i dont have to worry about the driveshaft falling out. I think its worth a shot.

Nah. Make your drveshaft the right length and it won't be an issue.

Something to think about:

I agree but the other side of it is. I was running one and twisted a drive shaft. Stupid rocks! If you have to drive it back any distance with out the shaft the yoke won't stay in and you loose fluid. The other plus is the fixed yoke (normally) isn't as prone to leaking.

My 2c is if you can do it for cheep it may be worth it sometime down the trail.
I spent over $400.00 for the on on my 241.

the swap cn be done cheap if you take your slip yoke, drill and tap a hole thru it and slightly inti output shaft. then put a set screw in it.only expense is a slip yoke driveshaft. i have a trans plug incase of broken shaft but with t case indexed i do not loose much fluid

When I twisted my rear shaft in my f150, I didn't lose but a couple drops of fluid cruising back to camp at K2. Granted it wasn't a 208, but it was still a slip yoke tcase.
