The perfect rig?

What do you all think would be the perfect offroad rig?I think a two seat buggy,609 style axles,40inch bfg reds,7.0 ls7 from turnkey performance, powerglide, and a lovell 357 t case.

I would go with Mogs, 47 Ltbs, LS7, NV4500, 4 speed atlas, under a small 2 seater.

oh and no jeep grill.

small light two seater chromoly chassis probably something like the badlands wasp chassis
. some sort of ls motor, built 700r4, probably a 3 speed stak or lovell t-case
sunray axles and of course there rear steer.
fabricated links.

those air shocks are all around
aluminum double beadlocks
40" comp compound creepy crawlers

Dan (the boyfriend) says his perfect would be:

Toyota ext cab - custom tube bed - with full exo - 4BT cummins - Allison 1000 - stak 3 - unimog axles with rear steer - 4 link with adjustable air suspension - 38 to 40 in tires - Must be road worthy, capable of driving to the trails (no trail queen here), and go coast to coast - oh and I must not forget the 30+ miles to the gallon from that big boy 4BT

As for me a perfect rig would be

Have to be a Yota - dont really care about all the other stuff as long as it is paid for and when I wheel it -- things will still be fun and I wont be able to just drive over everything - oh and it has to be purple !!

You can never have a "perfect rig" for many situations. No one rig can be perfect on all ledges or rock faces. That's what makes things challenging. budlight

Maria would say 4x4, auto, and A/C. would be the perfect rig.
I would say, "Anything that didn't break at the end of the day," would be perfect...but then again....someone else would say, "You didn't wheel it hard enough."
But, the perfect Rig would be one that didn't cost a arm, a leg, a kidney, and a left N.. well you get the picture.

this sounds alot like the " Perfect wheelbase " discussion. I don't think their a perfect rig. Maybe the vehicle you buy, drive it normal, maintain it well and trade it in early. But what fun would that be. Half the fun is working on it isn't it? Why do you think I purposely built a peice of sh!t? so I would have something to work on.

My idea of the ultimate rig would be a commonrail cummins, allison 6-speed 99-07 ford superduty 4x4 like the one seen at www.destroked.com/
